Our P2P software automatically performs most of the overhead tasks while MDEC’s qualified technicians perform few other tasks (such as payment posting for paper EOBs) by remotely connecting to your office Computer. Your patient data stays on your office computer, so that you always have complete control on your data. You can monitor all office activities from anywhere in the world, simply by logging on to P2P software installed on your office computer.

Practice Management

Our goal is to simplify your overhead operations so that you can focus on the patient care. By automating most of the overhead tasks (such as billing), the P2P software reduces the manual work in your office to a minimum thereby reducing your overhead costs. You won’t need highly paid skilled & trained workers. Anybody with basic computer skills can perform the overhead tasks.

Intelligent Registration Forms
The P2P system facilitates the patients to complete their online Registration and medical history forms from the comfort of their home (or from anywhere in the world) at any time through P2P website. This reduces the workload of your front office staff. The intelligent forms don’t allow the patients to fill wrong/conflicting information, thus reducing the number of rejected insurance claims.

Also, a patient has to fill his forms only once when he joins the network. When he selects a medical practice for a visit (from P2P website), his information is automatically transferred to the medical office Server (computer).

Intelligent Appointment Scheduling
The P2P system facilitates the patients to make online appointment requests, thus reducing the number of phone calls to your office, thereby reducing your overhead labor cost. The intelligent scheduling system guides the patient with a series of question-answers, and determines the length of the appointment-slot appropriate for his medical condition. This feature is customized by MDEC programmers to meet specific needs of each medical practice.

Insurance Policy Verification
The P2P software allows a user to verify the insurance policy of patients very efficiently. Your front office staff (or MDEC International tele-workers) can perform online verification of the insurance coverage for all patients who have appointments next day, and color code the background of appointment slots in the scheduling screen. This feature/service helps you improve your collections from the patients.

Automated Electronic Billing
The P2P software offers you an automated electronic system with 100% accuracy… from electronic Super bills (created by the physician using a Tablet PC) to Electronic Claims… at a price considerably less than the paper based billing system. The P2P software also provides 100% accountability for every super bill/claim.

Tele-Billing Service
MDEC’s Tele-billing service differs significantly from the conventional billing agencies. Our tele-workers connect to your office computers from remote locations, and perform billing functions that cannot be automated yet... such as posting of paper EOBs. All your staff has to do is scan paper EOBs and save in a folder on your Server. You have complete control on your billing operation, and you can monitor every transaction from your home or from anywhere in the world by remote connection capability provided by P2P software. MDEC offers this optional service at a reasonable price.

Customized EMRs

MDEC International offers an EMR Software & Services package to the physicians. The P2P Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software is very simple, affordable, efficient and easy to use.

Customized Electronic Charts
Unlike most other vendors, instead of a pre-defined standard template-based EMR software, MDEC offers a simplified EMR package. Our programmers take your existing paper charts (forms), and custom-create equivalent Electronic Charts. Your physicians & nurses use tablet PCs to fill these familiar forms in their own handwriting/typing. We don’t force you to go through extensive training to learn a complex EMR software. Instead, our EMR adopts your existing paper based chart system.

Create your Own Macros
A macro is a text paragraph that can be used repeatedly in the future. The P2P software gives you the capability to create/edit your own paragraphs. Within a few months, you would create your own library of macros, which would further reduce your time to create patient charts. These macros can be shared with other physicians/nurses within your office.

Hand-written Electronic Charts
You have the choice to fill electronic forms by typing or hand writing. Our tele-workers would remotely read the hand-written notes & type it for you. Once typed, you can proof read, edit and save the final copy in the database.

Time per Patient Chart
With P2P EMR software you would complete your charts in the same amount of time (or faster) as paper charts. With any other Standard Template Based EMR software, you would spend more time per chart.

Minimum User Training
Unlike most other complex EMR software packages, P2P EMR software requires very little training. The P2P electronic forms look very similar to your existing (and familiar) paper forms.

Transcription Service
MDEC offers you the option to dictate your patient notes using the P2P software and a Tablet PC. Our tele-workers would listen to your dictation and type the text for you.

Paper Chart Management

Most physicians are thinking of buying EMR software… simply because they are overwhelmed with their paper charts. In well-established large practices, the number of charts has accumulated to the extent that there is no more storage space left in the office.

The P2P Paper Chart Management (PCM) software is the answer to your current problem. Your office staff simply needs to scan the existing patient charts using a high-speed scanner (25 pages/50 images per minute) provided as part of the P2P hardware. Once scanned, the images of paper documents are stored in your office Server. These electronic documents can now be accessed and viewed from any computer within your office, or from anywhere in the world by authorized persons through the P2P network. These images are transmitted with 128-bit encryption, which exceeds the security requirements of HIPAA regulations (64-bit).

Employee ,Inventory and Financial Management Software

At present, less than 5% medical practices in the U.S. are using any Employee management (Human Resources), Inventory Management, Payroll or Financial Management software... primarily because most of the Practice Management software vendors do not provide these functions. And the large vendors who provide these software options are so expensive that majority of physicians choose not to buy these options.

Since one of the major goals of P2P network is to reduce your overhead costs (and not increase it), we offer these advanced management software modules at affordable prices. Each advanced management module results in improving the efficiency of overhead operations, better control and accountability, and reducing the overhead costs.

Employee Management Software
At present, the Time Cards in your office is filled by employees on a sheet of paper. If an employee comes in late by 10-15 minutes, he may still fill-in the standard time he was supposed to come in. These 10-15 minutes of inaccuracies by employees would accumulate to thousands of dollars... at the end of the year.

With P2P software, employees check-in and check-out using an office computer. The check-in and check-out times are controlled by your office Server. This simple function alone (P2P software has many more) results in big cost savings to the practice, and encourages employees to be punctual. Tracking vacations, sick leave, over-time etc. becomes very easy task for the office manager.

Customized Inventory Management Software
The P2P inventory management module uses the latest software technology that allows you to customize it for your specific needs. The same module can be customized for a family practice, an oncologist, a dentist or an Ambulatory Surgical Center. The inventory module is integrated with the P2P scheduling module. At the time of scheduling a procedure, the software would alert you if your facility is out of any needed supply item. The P2P inventory module helps you run your facility smoothly and efficiently. You can monitor the status of your supplies from anywhere in the world… simply by connecting to the P2P Server in your office.

The minimum quantity Alerts (user-defined and/or estimated based on the past consumption) assure you that your facility will never be out of critical medical supplies.

You can easily generate Purchase Orders and electronically transfer directly to your vendor. Before creating the final purchase order, the P2P module would automatically display the Comparative Price List from different vendors. The price comparison feature will save you money every year on medical supplies.

The customized Supplier Interface allows the vendors to send information about the new products as soon as they come in the market. You can review the information, and add the supply item to your existing inventory list. Your existing suppliers also have the capability to update the pricing information through P2P website. This information is automatically transferred to your inventory software enabling you to get the latest pricing.

Financial Management Software
The basic Practice Management (PM) software provided by majority of vendors only has Accounts Receivable function (called Billing software within the healthcare industry). The Accounts Payables and other essential functions which allow you to manage your business finances efficiently is simply not there. With the result, your office manager/owner-physician has to manage the office expenses manually using paper, pen and a calculator. Some practices use a third party accounting software (such as Peachtree or Quick Books, which does not integrate with your basic PM or EMR software).
